Mark 1:16 – As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen.
Mark 1:17 – Come, follow me, Jesus said, and I will send you out to fish for people.
Mark 1:18 At once they left their nets and followed Him.
A little farther up the shore Jesus saw Zebedee’s sons, James and John, in a boat repairing their nets. He called them at once, and they also followed him, leaving their father, Zebedee, in the boat with the hired men.
Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life? Mark 10:17
I’ve obeyed all these commandments since I was young.
Well, you lack one thing. Go and sell all of your possessions. Give the money to the poor and come and follow me. Mark 10:21
Because if it’s important enough for us to do it tomorrow, it’s important enough to do today.
Because to take hold of what God is calling us to do, we have to let go of what’s holding us back.
“Therefore, since we’re surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders us and the sin that’s so easily entangles us.”
“At once they left their nets and they followed him.”
Change requires action.
Jesus and his companions went to the town of Capernaum.
