The LORD had said to Abram, Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family…
Genesis 12:1

Leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you. Genesis 12:1

I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others.

I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you.

And the scripture was fulfilled that says, Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness, and he was called God’s friend. James 2:23

Can we be all that God wants us to be on the journey of life without separating ourselves from the sins of the past?

So Abram departed as the LORD had instructed.
Genesis 12:4

And Abram built an altar there and dedicated it to the LORD, who had appeared to him.
Genesis 12:7

There he built another altar and dedicated it to the LORD, and he worshiped the LORD.
Genesis 12:8

This was the same place where Abram had built the altar, and there he worshiped the LORD again.
Genesis 13:4

There he built another altar to the LORD.
Genesis 13:18

21 Another disciple said to Jesus, “Lord, let me wait till I bury my father.”
