But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband.

The husband should fulfill his wife’s sexual needs, and the wife should fulfill her husband’s needs.

The second most common cause of divorce is money:

But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction.

For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows. 1 Timothy 6:9-10

Third most common cause of divorce: Parenting

Whoever spares the rod hates their children, but the one who loves their children is careful to discipline them. Proverbs 13:24

Manipulation between parents is the GREATEST danger to a marriage when it comes to parenting.

I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son. When he commits iniquity, I will discipline him with the rod of men. 2 Samuel 7:14

This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one. Genesis 2:24

#1) Pray together.

#2) Take a step together.

#3) Read scripture.

#4) Don’t engage in negative self talk.

#5) Seek help if needed.

Praise God for one specific trait of your partner.

Pray for unity in your relationship

Pray for peace.

Pray for humility as a couple.

Pray to guard the heart of your spouse.

Pray for joy in your relationship

Pray for spiritual growth.

Men, pray that God would help you lead sacrificially. With their best interest at heart.

Ask God to protect your relationship.
